The Nike ACG Air Mowabb OG Rattan Birch 2021 is a modern reissue of the classic outdoors sneaker designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1991. Celebrating the Air Mowabb OG s 30th anniversary, the Rattan Birch is an original colorway of the shoe that was re-released in September 2021. Several modifications were made to the modern version of the Rittan Birch, including a Huarache tongue tag and dual pull tabs for easy on/off access. Moreover, Nike touts the modern Rattan Birch s stretchier collar and softer foam midsole as modern enhancements. Design wise, much of the shoe retains its original look, including a molded heel counter and a neoprene inner bootie. Perforations on either side of the beige mid-panel provide airflow to the wearer s foot. Old school ACG branding is embroidered on the collar. An embroidered mini Swoosh is also added to the toe on the 2021 re-release. Underfoot, a speckled midsole and lugged rubber outsole with 90s-style Air Mowabb complete the design.
