Originally released by Jordan Brand in 2017, the Jordan 9 Boot in Black/Gum returned as part of Jordan s Holiday 2021 release cycle, and is a one-to-one remake of the original style. Inspired by Nike s Special Field Boot, the Jordan 9 Boot has a black suede base with tonal leather detailing on the mudguard that spans the toe up to the collar. Both details have been treated with a water-resistant coating. Boot-inspired metal eyelets and a gusseted tongue provide a rugged look. A tonal globe emblem is found on the heel.
